How Our Feeding Operations Work

How Our Feeding Operations Work

A look at what happens before, during, and after a feeding run. From the warehouse to the streets — every step is documented so you can see exactly where your support goes.

It starts with logistics. Thanks to the steady stream of support from your purchases, we are able to buy premium pet food by the pallet, securing wholesale rates that maximize the impact of every dollar.

Early in the morning, our volunteers gather at the staging area. Dry kibble is transferred into manageable containers, and wet food is pre-portioned to ensure every animal gets a balanced meal. The vans are loaded strategically, mapped out to hit the highest-density stray populations efficiently.

Once on the ground, it's all about consistency. Strays rely on routine. They know when our vans are coming, and they are often waiting. Our teams don't just drop food and leave; they monitor the health of the colonies, clean the feeding areas, and build trust with the most fearful animals.

This operation is fueled entirely by the Rescue Tails community. Every bracelet and necklace shipped out of our facility translates directly into heavy bags of food loaded into these vans. It's a simple, transparent system, and it works because of you.
