The warmer days brought them out of hiding. Cats we'd never seen before — thin, cautious, watching from behind dumpsters. Our local partners doubled their feeding routes this month, and what they found broke our hearts.
When winter ends, the true toll of the cold months becomes visible. Many of the strays that survived are malnourished, exhausted, and desperate for calories to rebuild their strength. Our volunteers reported finding entire new colonies of abandoned cats in the industrial districts, waiting for anyone to notice them.
Because of the Rescue Tails community, we didn't have to look away.
Thanks to your bracelet purchases in March, we were able to instantly deploy emergency food drops to these new colonies. The moment the kibble hit the bowls, the hesitation vanished. For many of these cats, it was the first proper meal they had eaten in weeks.
This isn't a faceless charity operation. This is direct, street-level intervention funded entirely by people who refuse to just scroll past suffering. Every single person wearing a Rescue Tails piece right now is responsible for keeping these animals alive this spring.
To everyone who chose to make an impact this month: thank you. The bowls are full, but the work continues.
