We started 2026 with a massive surge in feeding operations, driven entirely by the incredible support we received over the holidays. The winter cold is the ultimate enemy of a stray animal. Their bodies burn twice the normal amount of calories just trying to maintain core temperature. A missed meal in January isn't just uncomfortable — it can be fatal.
Our volunteers hit the streets before dawn, carrying heavy containers of warm, calorie-dense wet food mixed with premium kibble. The steam rising from the bowls in the freezing air was a beautiful sight, matched only by the sound of dozens of cats finally eating their fill.
